Matthew is the first Texas Longhorn Bull to have all 11 of The Greatest Texas Longhorn Herd Sires of All Time in his ancestry. The number in ()'s is the number of times they appear. They are Texas Ranger JP (10), Bail Jumper (1), Overwhelmer (1), Don Quixote (3), Impressive (1), Cowcatcher (2), Measles Super Ranger (1), Senator (1), Classic (1), Bold Ruler (1), and King (1) + Phenomenom (1) and Joshua (1) !!! As a calf Matthew was halter trained by Bob Dube and attended 4 shows. He won Jr Champion Bull twice and Reserve Jr. Champion once. Matthew went to work as a herd sire at 15 months of age in December of 2000 and became known for producing show quality offspring. A unusually high number of Matthew's sons and daughters have done well at shows, as have his grand offspring. Matthew's offspring won Get of Sire for him in 2007, 2008, and 2009 at The International Texas Longhorn Championship Show!!! Get of Sire is the highest honor a breeding bull can win. Matthew's offspring also won second in Get of Sire for him in 2004 and 2005!! Twenty-three of his sons have been purchased for herd sires. Many have already produced show winners for their owners. Like his great ancestors he passes quality on! Matthew's sire Moses also won Get of Sire at The International Texas Longhorn Championship Show in 1999! Fifty-nine of his daughters have been purchased by other Texas Longhorn owners for their herds. We have retained 25 of his daughters for our Jr. herd. All were natural service. No semen or cell line has ever been drawn on Matthew. Cattle bred to Matthew have also been popular. Eighty-one cows bred to him or with one of his calves at side or both have been purchased from our herd. Matthew Won Get of Sire at The 2010 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo !!!
